Character Interaction
For character interaction I made use of the Wednesday sessions, which provided a platform for acting out different poses and positions while interacting with various weights.
I chose to focus on a specific piece of footage I shot, involving Lewis and Tim, lifting up a table. I broke down the footage into stills to target key positions in the sequence. The bent knees and elbows illustrate anticipation, then as the legs and arms extend, the table is lifted. Tim lifts first, leaning back to help carry the weight. To compensate for this weight, small footsteps are taken to remain balanced, while walking right in slow pace.
From this analysis I re-created the scenario in Flash, using rotoscope, to pinpoint the joints in body, arms and legs, gaining a full understanding of how they react while lifting the table.
